Fellows spend 6 months on the inpatient hematology consult service and 6 months on the inpatient oncology consult service. Laboratory fellows will have one half-day per week of continuity clinic, but are otherwise not required to do any further clinical rotations (unless seeking to double-board). Fellows receive most of their training at the George Washington University Hospital and outpatient ambulatory care and at the Washington Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC).
